We went from husband & wife to having three children, a son in law, a daughter in law and two awesome grandchildren. Started with the two of us to a family of nine, who would have ever thought!!
Hi! My name is Gary. I live in Tennessee with my wife, Billie, and our youngest daughter, Rebecca. I have worked in tool & die for many years and that is how I chose my gaming name Slug Retention and hence called our home the Slug Pub. The name of our home came from our 25th anniversary trip to Ireland. We enjoyed the pubs there and the environment of the Irish pub. We love boating, beer and spending time with our friends and family.
We are an ordinary family just trying to figure out these extraordinary times! We are looking for ways to enjoy life at home by eating out or getting take out less to save money while everything seems to be more and more expensive. We are going to try different (some healthy, some not low calorie) recipes and will give you our honest and opinion and what we would maybe do different next time. Join us as we sail through these tying times and still keep looking to the future with happiness and optimism!
We want to share what we are doing in our normal everyday lives! We like to try different recipes and learn different techniques in preparing meals for our family. We all enjoy trying different foods and help in the preparation of most meals whether it is prep, cooking, grilling, smoking, or clean up. Many hand make light work.
We have ideas, tips and tricks with boating (we have a trifecta). While Gary is the captain and does most of the driving, docking & maintenance. Rebecca and Billie are the “deck hands” that put the fancy buoys out and ties the boat up to the dock. We enjoy our relaxing days out on Kentucky Lake and will share with you what we take with us to enjoy a long day out.
We enjoy being able to cook once and create something new and interesting the next night with the “left-overs”.
We want to share with you items we have used and encourage others to try and experience as well.
